3 Stone Custom Ring Makeover

This client received this ring from his grandmother and gave it to his fiance. It’s a pretty old ring and the old ring setting isn’t complimenting the diamonds so he wants to change the setting. I proposed a few ideas and due to the fact that he really doesn’t want the new ring to look too different we just made a simple 3 stone ring.

These two side stones are pretty small compared to the center diamon so instead of making them looking bigger than they actually are, I decided to just set them low and right next to the center stone so they compliment the center round brilliant cut. Here’s a picture of the setting with diamonds. Notice the details? The ring shank’s width and depth is similar to the original setting but slightly wider and deeper and heavier so it’s a more durable ring to wear.

 

Woa-la! These diamonds look a lot prettier because of the clean and simple setting and it’s just a beautiful everyday engagement ring with heirloom diamonds!
